FRAMEWORK is a single-player (SP) Variation to Half-Life. It is not, as some people misperceive, a mod. It uses the original Half-Life monsters, sounds, and even the same textures. No part of the game engine has been modified in any way, so it does not qualify as a mod. Why did I make it? well, I think Half-Life is a great game, engrossing, original, and creative. It redefined the first person shooting genre - and I saw what they did in the game. After reading a little on how the game was made, I heard that some people believed the WAD textures sucked and looked too labby. I wanted to challenge that, and make a game using the same WAD file without making the environments look like they're science labs. I've tried to create this not only into a show-and-tell, but a short game, with storyline and plot. The version that I plan to release is 2.0, and is estimated to be about 10 MB (if you already have half-life installed on your computer, if not it may be a 300 MB download!). It is about 56% complete. Release date of May 18.
